Q1: Where is Camp Digalus? Top
Please see the Maps Page

Q2:  What do I bring to Camp Digalus? Top
Please see What to Bring page.

Q3:  Do I need to bring water? Top
Yes. We recommend 2 gallons per person per day.

Q4:  Do we need a den flag? Top
Yes!  It will count toward your overall score (spirit) and you’ll need it for the parade of flags at the Saturday evening campfire.  If you’re looking for ideas, try here: http://www.troop142bsa.org/sketchbook/Patrol%20Flag%20.pdf

Q5:  Do I need my uniform? Top
Yes!  Class "A" Scout Uniforms will be worn to opening and awards ceremonies, your shirt may be a little dirty or wrinkled, but it can still be tucked in and buttoned correctly, the hat, when put on correctly, with the bill to the front will help keep the sun off of your face. The uniform shouldn't be worn sloppily.  You are a Scout.  Wear your uniform with pride. Saturday evening campfire attire may be the class "A" or class "B" uniform.  During competition, the class "B" or appropriate casual clothing is in order. Dark pants/shorts is acceptable (NO open toed-shoes or flip-flops!).  You won’t want to show up at the awards ceremony looking sloppy picking up your first place ribbon, so please dust off your Class A’s for the award ceremony on Sunday morning.

Q6: Where and when do I pay my parking fee? Top
At the enterence to the park there is a pay booth.  Please pay the fee here and get your receipt to display on your dash board.  The fee is $5.00 per vehicle per night.

Q7:  What is the weather likely to be? Top
You can check the forecast at:

Estrella Mountain Regional Park, Goodyear

It’s not unusual for us to have lows in the 30s…but don’t forget your sunblock for the day, (and ponchos…just in case)

Q8:  What do we do about cooking? Top
You’ll be responsible for your own meals at Camp Digalus.  Make sure your boys cook their own meals (requirement for Outdoorsman!).  You can use a portable grill or a camp stove.
You can also join Troop 30 for a meal Saturday evening. Please visit our banquet for the menu.
